For this tour, we have created two itinerary options

OPTION-1 : Rolous Temples Group Tour Itinerary 

MORNING: 8:30 AM – Depart from Siem Reap, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel. First, we’ll assist you in purchasing your Angkor pass, and then we’ll begin our tour. Start your day early to avoid the heat. It takes approximately 45 in total.

9:15 AM – Roluos Temple Group Tour: Discover the ancient temples of the Roluos Group, one of the earliest temple sites of the Khmer Empire:

Discover LOLEI TEMPLE – Duration: 30 minutes

Highlights: Lolei is the smallest of the Roluos Group Temples and was originally an island temple. Though smaller, it still features fine carvings and inscriptions.  The brick towers, inscriptions in ancient Khmer script, and the nearby modern monastery. The active monastery near Lolei offers insight into contemporary Buddhist practices.

Visit PREAH KO – Duration: 30 minutes

Highlights: PREAH KO is one of the three main temples of the Roluos Group, dedicated to Shiva and built in the late 9th century. It features beautifully carved sandstone structures and symbolic depictions of Hindu mythology. Intricate carvings of deities, well-preserved lintels, and the six brick towers. Be sure to check out the detailed carvings on the towers and doorways.

Explore BAKONG TEMPLE –Duration: 1 hour

Highlights: Bakong is the largest and most impressive of the Roluos Group Temples, considered the first major temple mountain of the Khmer Empire. The temple is surrounded by a moat, with multiple tiers leading to the central sanctuary.  The pyramid-shaped structure, a large moat, and stunning views from the top. Climb to the top for a panoramic view of the surroundings. It’s a great spot for photos.

END OF TOUR

11:15 AM – Depart for Siem Reap. The return trip to Siem Reap will take approximately 30 minutes. 11:45 AM – Arrive Back in Siem Reap. End your day back in Siem Reap, giving you time to relax or explore the town.

AFTERNOON: Kompong Phluk – Tonle Sap Lake Tour

11:15 AM – Departure from Rolous temple group and head towards Tonle Sap Lake, about 20mn drive.

11:35 AM – Arrive at Kampong Phluk. Enjoy a 3-hour boat tour exploring the fishing village and the flooded mangrove forest on Tonlé Sap Lake. During the tour, stop for lunch at a floating restaurant and take time to relax while enjoying scenic views of the lake.

HIGHLIGHT: Kampong Pluk is one of the largest and most authentic floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake. Board a traditional boat and begin your journey through the stilted houses and floating schools that are unique to this region – Immerse yourself in the life of the locals as you glide past fishermen working, children playing, and residents going about their daily routines on the water. Don’t miss the chance to visit the flooded mangrove forests, especially during the wet season when the water levels are high – Continue your journey along Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Learn about the ecological importance of the lake and how it sustains both the people and wildlife in the area. The breathtaking views of the sunset over the lake make for unforgettable memories. 

END OF TOUR

4:30 PM – Return to Siem Reap and drop-off at your hotel. The day’s journey combines ancient history with modern-day life, offering a comprehensive insight into Cambodia’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
