Silk Island (Koh Dach) & Silk Weaving Experience

9:00 AM – Hotel Pick-Up
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh. Enjoy a comfortable ride towards the ferry terminal, where your adventure begins.

10:00 AM – Take the Ferry to Koh Oknhatei
Board a local ferry and cross the Mekong River, taking in the beautiful views along the way. Arrive at Koh Oknhatei, a small island known for its silk weaving heritage.

10:30 AM – Visit the Silk Island Museum
Explore the Silk Island Museum, where you will learn about Cambodia’s silk weaving history, traditional techniques, and the importance of silk production in Khmer culture. The museum showcases different stages of silk-making, from raising silkworms to weaving intricate patterns.

12:30 AM – Drive to Local Silk Weaving Houses
Continue your journey to Koh Dach, where you will visit local families who produce silk in their own homes. Observe the entire process of silk weaving, meet the artisans, and see firsthand how traditional handlooms are used to create beautiful silk fabrics.

1:30 AM – Visit Riverside Huts & Relax
Head to the riverside, where you can relax in the wooden huts along the beach. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, take in the scenic river views, and perhaps try some fresh coconut water or local foods.

3:30 PM – Return to Phnom Penh
Take the ferry back to the mainland and enjoy a comfortable ride back to your hotel, concluding a wonderful cultural and scenic experience on Silk Island.
