Phnom Kulen Waterfall Tour Itinerary (Full Day)

Explore Cambodia’s Sacred Mountain : Phnom Kulen is a gem in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province, brimming with both natural beauty and spiritual significance. Here’s a breakdown of what you can experience during a day trip to this enchanting destination:

8:00 AM: Departure from Siem Reap, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel. First, we’ll assist you in purchasing your Phnom Kulen ticket, and then we’ll begin our tour: Start your Phnom Kulen tour early in the morning with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Siem Reap. Pass through lush countryside, small villages, and rice fields as you head toward the majestic mountain.

9:30 AM: Arrive at Phnom Kulen National Park Upon arrival at Phnom Kulen National Park, you’ll be greeted by dense jungle and dramatic cliffs. Don’t forget to capture panoramic views from the top of the mountain.

– Poeng Ta Kho: is a sacred natural site on Phnom Kulen Mountain, known for its dramatic rock formations, jungle surroundings, and spiritual importance. The area features massive stone outcrops shaped by nature, offering a peaceful atmosphere for visitors seeking nature and reflection. It is also respected by local people

– 1000 Lingas River: Begin your Phnom Kulen adventure at the “River of 1000 Lingas.” This mystical river features hundreds of Hindu lingas carved into the riverbed, believed to bless and nourish the surrounding lands. The lingas date back to the Khmer Empire and offer a glimpse into Cambodia’s rich spiritual heritage. The site has a calm, spiritual energy that makes it a must-visit spot.

– Sacred Water Spring: Near the 1000 Lingas River, you’ll find a natural spring that locals consider sacred. The clear water here is believed to have healing properties, and many visitors come to refresh themselves and take in the serene surroundings. – Reclining Buddha: One of Phnom Kulen’s main highlights is Preah Ang Thom Pagoda, where you can see Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha statue. – Phnom Kulen Waterfalls: Wrap up your day with a refreshing swim at the Phnom Kulen waterfalls. These picturesque falls have two levels, each offering stunning views and cool waters perfect for a dip. Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfalls provide a tranquil and invigorating end to a day of exploration. Many visitors consider this the highlight of their trip to Phnom Kulen!

Please note: Banteay Srei—known as the “Lady Temple” for its pink sandstone and exquisite carvings—is on the return route. It is covered by the Angkor Pass ($37 USD). If you already have a valid ticket, we can include it in this tour; otherwise we will skip it.

* After exploring Phnom Kulen Waterfall : You’ll drive pass by Landmine Museum and  through charming villages, rice paddies and local make and sell palm sugar,  offering opportunities to stop for photos or shop for local crafts or see more attractions.

– Landmine Museum: Landmine Museum, a deeply moving site founded by former child soldier Aki Ra. The museum provides insight into Cambodia’s landmine crisis and the efforts toward landmine removal.

Highlights: Explore exhibits detailing Cambodia’s tragic history with landmines and hear stories of resilience from those affected.

– Palm Market: On the way back to Siem Reap, stop at the vibrant Palm Market. This local market is famous for palm products, snacks, and handicrafts.

Highlights: Sample palm sugar candies, see how palm fruit is processed, and pick up a few souvenirs.

– Banteay Srei Butterfly Center: Visit the enchanting Banteay Srei Butterfly Center, home to hundreds of native Cambodian butterflies. The open-air enclosure offers a peaceful environment to observe these beautiful creatures.
