Here’s a detailed tour itinerary for visiting Kbal Spean and Banteay Srei, two captivating sites located in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province. This itinerary combines nature exploration with historical and cultural immersion.

MORNING:8:00 AM: Departure from Siem Reap, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel. First, we’ll assist you in purchasing your Angkor pass, and then we’ll begin our tour: Begin your journey early to make the most of the day. Depart from Siem Reap by private car or van, enjoying the scenic countryside as you drive toward Kbal Spean, which is about 57 kilometers from the city.

9:30 AM: Arrive at Kbal Spean: Known as the “River of a Thousand Lingas,” Kbal Spean is an archaeological site set deep within the jungle. After arrival, take a moderate 1.5 km uphill hike through the lush forest. The hike takes around 45 minutes, and along the way, you’ll enjoy the serene surroundings and wildlife.

10:30 AM: Explore Kbal Spean: At the top, marvel at the intricately carved lingas (phallic symbols of fertility) and depictions of Hindu gods etched into the riverbed. This 10th-century Hindu temple is dedicated to Shiva and constructed with pink sandstone, which gives it a unique hue compared to other Angkor temples.

– Palm Market: On the way back to Siem Reap, stop at the vibrant Palm Market. This local market is famous for palm products, snacks, and handicrafts.
