KAMPONG KHLEANG - FISHING VILLEAGE - TONLE SAP LAKE – 1-DAY SIEM REAP PRIVATE TOUR OPTIONS

For this tour, we have created two itinerary options

OPTION-1 : Kampong Kleang Fishing village Tour Tinerary

MORNING: At 8:30 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and drive approximately 57 km to Kampong Kleang – Fishing Village in 1hour and half, on the way: “Enjoy a scenic drive from Siem Reap city to Kampong Khleang, one of the largest fishing villages on Tonle Sap Lake. Along the way, you will pass through peaceful countryside, traditional Khmer villages, and local markets. You’ll see beautiful landscapes with wide rice fields, sugar palm trees, and daily rural life, where local people farm, fish, and run small family businesses. This relaxing journey offers a wonderful glimpse into authentic Cambodian culture before arriving at Kampong Khleang.” so we will reach there around 10:00am.

HIGHLIGH: Kampong Khleang  is one of the largest and most authentic stilted fishing villages on Tonle Sap Lake, located east of Siem Reap. The village is famous for its impressive high stilt houses, built to adapt to the dramatic seasonal rise and fall of the lake’s water level. During the wet season, the village appears to float, while in the dry season you can clearly see the tall wooden stilts beneath the homes. Visitors can explore the village by boat and experience local daily life, including fishing activities, floating schools, pagodas, and small shops. Kampong Khleang is less touristy than other Tonle Sap villages, offering a peaceful and genuine look at traditional Cambodian river life. The vast lake views, flooded forests, and warm hospitality of the local people make Kampong Khleang a truly memorable cultural experience. The total tour duration is approximately 3 hours, depending on your pace and personal preference.

END OF TOUR: This tour will finish around 1:00 PM. After the last attraction, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

In the evening, you may also enjoy a night show such as the Apsara Traditional Dance Show or the Phare, The Cambodian Circus. The performances usually run from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Please inform our driver in advance if you would like us to arrange a reservation for you, and you pay a bit extra to driver for OT.
